Replacement OEM option air vent for all 8V Audi A3 and S3 vehicles(All US A3/S3s come with non-telescoping vents). The “telescopic” function allows for diffusing of the incoming vent air, in addition to being able to close the vent completely. Our images below show how the vent operates – when closed air is pushed around the outside of the vent, diffusing the flow, but still allowing air to pass through. Vent can still be closed by turning the outer vent ring to stop flow completely. Vent Flap Closure Telescopic Action
